In line with this prestigious conference series, it is my great honor and pleasure to invite you to the 11th IWA Membrane Technology Conference (MTC 2025), which will be held in Daegu, South Korea, from September 13-18, 2025. This conference will bring together experts from around the world to share the latest advancements and innovations in membrane technology for water and wastewater treatment and reuse, offering a platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration. Additionally, it will provide an opportunity to reconnect with old friends and colleagues, while making new acquaintances and expanding your research network.

Daegu features the Korea Water Cluster, with impressive demonstration plants showcasing cutting-edge membrane technology for water and wastewater treatment. The city has a rich history of overcoming water-related challenges and is a leader in integrated water management, having pioneered the first membrane plant for drinking water treatment in Korea.

We eagerly anticipate the opportunity to showcase our city's achievements, foster knowledge exchange, and advance membrane technology during this event. We look forward to welcoming you all to Daegu for an enjoyable and memorable experience in our historic city.

Do you remember the great feast of the 3rd IWA Membrane Technology Conference in Seoul, Korea, in 2004 (see photo below)? By bringing the conference back to Daegu, Korea, we will once again celebrate the growth and achievements of the IWA Membrane Technology Specialist Group and showcase the immense strides made by the Korean water industry since 2004.

Daegu, known for its rich cultural heritage, technological advancements, and warm hospitality, is ideal for hosting this esteemed conference. The city has emerged as a global hub for water technology, and it is only fitting that it serves as the backdrop for this momentous occasion. I am confident and eagerly anticipate that Daegu, Korea, will host an even more advanced conference at the 11th IWA Membrane Technology Conference in 2025.
